Councilor Jeff Desmoulin, who is the Council liaison to the board of White Lake Resources Corp., presented a cheque for $250,000 to Gimaa Louis Kwissiwa at the Council special meeting held on December 17, 2021.
This payment was the second made in the current year and brings the total payments made to the First Nation year to date to approximately $500,000.
“The board and staff team at White Lake Limited Partnership continue to drive growth in revenues and employment and we appreciate their good work”, said Gimaa Kwissiwa and Councilor Desmoulin.
White Lake Limited Partnership is Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg’s principal business corporation. White Lake LP is governed by a board of directors appointed by the Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg Council, comprised entirely of Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg members. White Lake LP directly employs approximately 50 people and provides a wide range of services ranging from contract labor for industry, general construction, waste management and others.
