Due to growth and changes in our organization, the White Lake Limited Partnership is looking for a highly motivated and  competent individual to fill the full-time position of Operations Supervisor.

The White Lake Limited Partnership is owned by the Netmizaaggamig Nishaabeg, and managed by its general partner, White  Lake LP, and has been mandated to develop, implement and manage business opportunities for the benefit of the  Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg and its members.

White Lake LP delivers numerous business lines including contract labour for area mines, waste management contracting,  heavy equipment rentals and operations/trucking, and general contracting.

Further expansion is planned for 2022/23 and following years including the planned new highway commercial development.

The position reports to the Director of Operations, and ultimately the CEO, and is generally responsible for the day-to-day field  operations of the organization including operation and maintenance of our lands and buildings, construction projects, our new  waste management contracting service, and heavy equipment and trucking operations – this will include policy enforcement,  job planning, purchasing, asset management (maintaining our building and equipment to maximize their service life), customer liaison and job monitoring, quality control and issue management.

This position is based in Mobert, Ontario, but may involve travel around the surrounding area to job sites, and such applicants  must reside/agree to reside in the immediate area. White Lake LP cannot presently assist with housing.


  • Develop and/or continuously monitor and improve the organization’s operational systems, processes and policies;
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for company assets (buildings, vehicles and equipment);
  • Coordinating and supporting ground operations of both our business lines and office building and grounds;
  • To develop and maintain current, relevant and timely reporting to management on operational activities, needs, issues  and results;
  • Participate in annual and long-term planning;
  • Participate, from an operational perspective, on the development of business proposals and tenders;
  • Develop and deliver recruitment, orientation and other training for operational staff;
  • • Supervise operational staff;
  • Assist the Director of Operations to develop and manage program budgets;
  • Provide direction to the financial staff on invoicing to funding sources, including calculations of complete units of service.
  • Supervise and coach office and field staff as required;
  • Keep the Director of Operations regularly informed of activities, results and issues and participate in planning and  problem solving as required;
  • Ensure operations are carried out in compliance with applicable health and safety policies and legislation;
  • Provide support on business development and sales, including customer relations;
  • Other misc. duties


  • 3-5 years of supervisory and/or management experience in operations, construction, property management or a related  field;
  • Working knowledge of CVOR regulations and management and ability to qualify for a CVOR (a must);
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and techniques;
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities, organizations and governments across Canada;
  • Working knowledge of email and typical office software;
  • Working knowledge of pertinent federal, provincial and local laws, codes, and regulations;
  • Ability to use good judgement in respecting confidentially;
  • Ability to identify and respond to sensitive community and organizational issues, concerns and needs to prospects;
  • Ability to communicate and prepare clear concise operational reports, both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to work irregular working hours as required by operations and projects;
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
