White Lake LP is the Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg’s principal business, and delivers a wide range of business services in Mobert and surrounding areas.  Our offices are located on Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg territory in Mobert, Ontario. Information on White Lake LP can be found here.

In 2022, White Lake LP has been mandated by our limited partner, the First Nation, to proceed with development and opening of the long-awaited highway commercial center.

The new highway commercial center will initially incorporate a limited business line including fuel products, a convenience and related services and amenities.  The center will be located on our reserve lands on Highway 17 near Mobert.  Future plans include short-term accommodations, RV sites and fuel cardlocks, among others.

The Project Manager will initially work closely with the CEO to complete financing arrangements for the construction of the facility and start-up of the business.   Optimally, the position would then roll into a longer-term position as general/business manager of the complex.  We think that a future general manager should ideally be part of the final planning and development of the business and its facilities.

Applicants should ideally have skills and experiencing in organizing and managing a project/business, including construction, financing, regulatory compliance, supplier relations and general business management.  You will need to be extremely reliable, work well independently and as a member of a team, be an effective negotiator and manager of contracts and supplier relationships, be capable of managing people, and be committed to the highest standards of customer service.

In order to succeed in this position, you will need to be a strong manager, and have a knack for sales and marketing.

Training will be provided to individuals who possess the core skills and character but who would benefit from further skills training to succeed in the position.

As always, White Lake LP strongly encourages applications from members of the Netmizaaggamig First Nation.

We are looking for individuals who want to make a long-term commitment, not just a stop over for a year or two.

Applicants should submit their resume and a cover letter that explains why they are a good fit for this position/opportunity.  Be creative!  We are open to a traditional employee relationship with a pay cheque, but in the interests of ensuring a long-term commitment, we would welcome and consider your ideas for alternative arrangements including performance bonuses and even equity or equity-like benefits.

Interested candidates should send resume and cover letter to Norman Jaehrling, CEO, via email; ceo@whitelakelp.ca by Friday April 8, 2022, at 4pm. No late submissions will be accepted (time is money in business!)
